My favorite Peak Refuel meal!
David M.
You did great on this one. Biscuits & Sausage Gravy was great. One of your best meals.
Britt C.
100% the best tasting freeze dried meals out there! -and I’ve tried every brand.
Clifton H.
The perfect breakfast in the wild!!
Eric E.
Hands down one of the best backcountry meals out there! While it is not an every morning or general meal for me as it is quite hardy, but I always have one in my bag for multi night trips. I tend to keep it for some of my last days in the field as I know my body will need the protein and fat as well as my taste buds will be craving it. Definitely use the pro tip of breaking apart the biscuits!
Ethan O.
Just like Grandma made it!
Judith P.
Great taste and was filling with little water

I have looked a long ,long time for what we called cream gravy back in the day, THIS GOOD! This is the real deal unlike the bland sheet rock tasting gravy they just call cream gravy you get in all of the restaurant's today along with a chicken fried steak that you need a chain saw to cut it up with. I grew up in the 50's and sixty's so trust me I know with out a doubt what I'm talking about. I wish Peak would market the cream gravy alone as it goes good with several other dishes too. Absolutely DELICIOUS!
Serv Sandra C.
Not just for campers! Great taste. It’s easy and fast. When you need a meal that will give you strength. Boil water on the stove (1+1/3 cup) add mix, stir cover and wait 10 minutes. Fast, delicious and nourishing. I add black pepper and a sprinkle of cayenne. Yum. Peak Refuel has better taste than any other brands I have tried. Thank you Peak!
WILLIAM B.
One of my favorites. Tastes as good as homemade. Have been known to eat this one at home when I crave B & G
Michael K.
If breakfast had a comfort food this is it!
Doug E.
The best of all the dehydrated brand's out there....guranteed
I could eat these every morning and be happy and content.
Kenneth C.
I would put these biscuits and gravy up against any you can find in a regular restaurant. They are great. It's easy to prepare and makes a hearty meal. I've heard some people like to break up the biscuits before pouring in the water to help them rehydrate. Some like to let them set a little bit longer than the 10 minutes required to help rehydrate the biscuits. I leave the biscuits whole and wait a couple minutes longer. The biscuits aren't mushy and towards the center they even get a little crunchy, which I enjoy. The biscuits and gravy meal is in my top 5 meals.
Joshua D.
Best breakfast on the mountain!!
Dana H.
Delicious! I’ve ordered these beaucoup times they’re great. Pricey but great. Recommend!
Charles S.
I really liked this meal! The flavor is spot on and just enjoyed it very much. A must try for sure. I'm trying several others in the next week or so.
elsa v.
Grateful for these meals! My brothers working in freezing temps in the middle of knowhere with limited access to grocers and these packs were not only good they were a lifesaver!
James S.
Bought this as a treat for ice fishing. Needless to say with a 2 and 4 year old we didn't stay long enough to eat it on the lake. Came home and cooked it up on the jetboil and my 2yr old couldn't get enough. Taste just like home made. Thanks
Alan J.
I really like biscuits and sausage gravy. The Peak version provides a lightweight, easy to fix, and a very tasty version that I can easily pack to elk camp. The pro tip of breaking the biscuits up is a big help. I did add a little more water than what the instructions called for but not much. The end result was a very tasty and enjoyable meal.
Sarah
Hubs loves this over all choices of biscuits and gravy.
Greg L E.
Great taste. Sausage was bit “rubbery”. Possibly my fault though. Maybe my initial water wasn’t hot enough or I didn’t leave heated long enough.
I have more to try.
PAUL
So good I take these on outdoor adventures for any time of day meal
Brian R.
This is one amazing meal. Tastes great. I highly recommend.
Patricia
One of there best!
Brett
Amazing breakfast choice! Great source of protein to get your day started off right.
Brianna D.
One of my favorite meals done by this company. So. Damn. Good.
Andy M.
The biscuits and gravy is truly delicious. The problem is that underneath the instructions, there is a “pro tip “ which recommends that you break up the biscuits before cooking. This actually needs to be part of the instructions. The first time, I followed the instructions, and didn’t notice the “pro tip” till after. The biscuits did not cook properly without breaking them up first.
Jacob B.
Tested this out at home prior to ordering more, WOW! About as close to scratch-made as you can get, filling, can taste the butter, cream, sausage has great meaty texture, biscuits even when broken up take a lot to rehydrate so they are slightly crunchy in the center but not bad. I usually like my sausage a little spicier with more sage, but otherwise 5/5!
Chris S.
I have yet to try this one because my son loves it so much he always eats it for dinner. Must be good!
Robert T.
This meal had really good flavor, although some of the biscuit pieces were actually a little bit hard and crunchy even after letting it sit for 10 minutes.
I think next time I buy it, I will add just a little bit more water and let it sit for a few extra minutes to see if that helps. Other than that issue which isn’t all that big a deal, it was really tasty.
Greg H.
Great taste. Would be wonderful if you made a gravy and hard boiled eggs(3). Skip the biscuits for us diabetic hikers and keto people.
Brett H.
Great back country breakfast!
John J.
Best biscuits and gravy package meal.
Jacob S.
These Biscuits & Sausage Gravy from Peak always fills me up no matter how long I've gone without a hot meal! Don't forget to add hot sauce if that's your thing!
Michael S.
BEST! Meal of them All!! Make sure to breakup the biscuits before adding boiling water. And let it sit for 20 minutes for best Results. Love It!!
Siobhan W.
Flavor-wise, this meal is well seasoned, and the large biscuits are tasty and filling. I added double the recommended water and a few minutes more to the wait time, but every reconstituted well. The peppered gravy is creamier than other backpacking meals I've tried, and tastes more homemade. Excellent!
Sterling N.
Tastes like homemade biscuits and gravy
Mike B.
Easy, light, quick, taste good, two full biscuits Just finished the GAP and C&O 344 miles of bikepacking and really like having good meal. Boil some water stir and just a bit and bam good hot meal. I had several other meals along the trip and all were very tasty. Great trip with satisfying meals when needed. Thanks to PEAK MEALS.
Jake
My #1 go-to backpack hunting meals!

I consider myself a B & G snob. Maybe snob is the wrong word........ok I just know what sucks and what doesn't! And you have hit a home run with this!!!

Best freeze dried meals on the market
Evelyn D.
I was very surprised at the taste. The sausage was perfect not so peppery as others. It was creamy and the biscuits were delicious. I love this breakfast pack. I will be buying more. The taste, the amount, the price all fantastic. Easy to prepare.
Michael F.
While I liked the sausage gravy (it was very tasty) I just could not get the biscuits to rehydrate. I could not break them up either with what I had with me. The biscuit were not flaky, they were very very hard. Maybe you guys should break the biscuits up before adding them to the pouch.
WILLIAM B.
One of my favorites….especially in cold weather. Every time I eat and if these I’m amazed how close it is to homemade biscuits and gravy!
LT. Michael H.
Listen up all you swamp creatures who have had the famous SOS at the mess hall (DEFAC for your late blooming pussies) you ain't had nothing worth eating if you haven't had the Biscuits & Gravey from Peak refuel .... now good old SOS is fine as military meals go, but any trooper worth their weight in 5.56 mm knows that a really great breakfast, lunch, or dinner is a great meal of biscuits & gravey with lots of gravey. This meal has a ton of nice spicy gravy, a hug lot of real pork sausage and two puny looking busciuts that are in reality sponges that swell up to the biggest pair you've ever seen in your meal .... if you know what i mean.
Bottom line: this one package makes enough for two hungry soldiers that are looking at snakes and wondering how to cook them, and by God if you do go away hungry its your own dam fault for not eating the whole meal .... it just doesn't get better than this when it comes to grandma's home cooking meal in a bag. If you think Mountian House is better meal, then you must be from some Island nation that doesn't have good food ...
Sam M.
The biscuits and gravy are the best in the market by far . They actually have 3 whole biscuits in there . From the south so when I say its good that means it's good
Keith D.
Best freeze dried breakfast available from any brand.
Chris G.
This meal was really a surprise at how good it was. The gravy was outstanding. As with other meals I monitored how much water I added and it was a little less than recommended. I did read the package where it suggested breaking up the biscuits but I did not and learned that I should have. Overall, delicious meal.
Aaron D.
The Biscuits and Gravy is outstanding. I found your meals locally and purchased a Sausage Eggs Peppers. It was also very good. The pasta marinara with beef was less to my liking. I like a more tomato red sauce taste. I still have a few more to prepare and taste. Overall, they are very tasty, and the serving size is a lot per package. I will definately be putting some in my Pack.
F B.
I’ll admit off the top that biscuits and gravy just isn’t my thing for breakfast. I’m ex military and for hot chow during breakfast they typically served “S.O.S.” as a breakfast option every day, not once did I try it. In saying this, I decided to try the peak refuel biscuits and gravy anyway. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was, and instantly realized I had missed out all these years and now wish that I have tried biscuits and gravy a long time ago. I would def eat this again. Freeze dried meals are a great food option for most any outdoors activities along with being part of an emergency food storage supply. Two minor issue of the biscuit and gravy option:
1. The biscuits are large and for the most part do not rehydrate (may be by design), I read to break the biscuits in half before adding the water to rehydrate, which helps to soften the biscuits.
2. This meal was under seasoned, which is an easy fix with adding salt and pepper to taste.
David B.
Have not used it yet. The meal is part of the travel bag for emergency use of convenience
Greg M.
Very surprised at how good this really is! Recommend breaking up the biscuit before adding the water. Otherwise, it's GREAT!!
Kai L.
Biscuits and Gravy has got to be top 3 Peak Refuel meals! Just make sure to break the biscuits enough beforehand and then you're set. I took this on a backcountry trip in Alaska and my friends fell in love with it too and won't stop raving about it. So much flavor! And you'll be more than fueled up for a long day of adventures.
Brandon G.
I’ve eaten a lot of freeze dried meals over the years. Some were good and others were horrible, but even the ones that tasted pretty good were still what you would say “good for freeze dried”. The biscuits and sausage gravy, though, is phenomenal!! It actually tastes just like southern made biscuits and sausage gravy! I will definitely be toting multiple packs of this in my future backcountry expeditions.
Robert R. F.
Very good, bought more...
Leroy R.
I really liked the flavor, but even with biscuits broken up and following instructions, the biscuits did not rehydrate.
Johnny B.
This is hands down the groups all time favorite. It's the one meal we can eat at anytime and get that warm comfort feeling. It's delicious and filling. After a long hike, there's nothing like knowing that there are biscuits and gravy waiting on the other end.
Sandra C.
We have loved “everything” we’ve tried from you!!! It tastes good!!! It’s real food!! Easy to prepare.. a real addition to our outdoor experiences!!”Thank you!!” Going to be ordering more soon!!
Paul L.
I bought extra of these
Rex C.
I’ve eaten Mountain House Biscuits & Gravy for years. My daughter bought this for me and it is a lot better than Mountain House. Good stuff. My favorite breakfast meal on the trail.
Justin H.
Great taste and volume
Steve S.
The best biscuits and gravy meal on the market hands down!
Robert R. F.
Convient, easy to make and filling... Homemade is a tick better..
Juanita W.
Good flavor. Definitely need to break up the biscuits before rehydration. Biscuits do taste really good. Overall, I'd get it again.
Kenneth F.
It was delicious. Can’t wait to try the others !

I use to pack flour, butter, sausage, spices, milk, etc., to make a sausage gravy and biscuit dish usually on our first morning of camping, never again - this meal was a hit with all and I prepared it in the bag and before my camping partner got to the breakfast table, I plated it and got a roaring shout out of how wonderful it was. I didn't have to get up extra early, use the dutch oven to bake some biscuits, battle with hard to control flames on the camp stove to make gravy and fry sausage. WOW a true game changer and filled us both up to the gills! I have already bought more for our next camp out! THANK YOU PEAK REFUEL! When I revealed to my camping buddy that this was not the usual made from scratch.......He could not believe it! Many thanks for such a great product - Brenda
Scott M.
Really good, but made the mistake of leaving the biscuits whole. Never rehydrated! I just bought it again and whacked the biscuits with a rolling pin from the outside. That's better!
Deland S.
Don’t tell my wife but I would rather eat Peak B&G. Great tasting meal!
Mike V.
Easiest, best meal out there.
Carol P.
Good flavor. I would just not add so much water that it says on the package. Will try only one cup on the next one. Will also buy more. Thank you.
scott c.
Best biscuits and gravy on the market for dehydrated meals.
Jeff W.
We love Peak Refuel! Biscuits and Gravy will go on Every Trip..!
Nancy L.
Just tried the biscuits and gravy for the first time. My husband who normally doesn’t care much for B&G just ate 3/4 of the bag. Glad my stomach is small. Ha! We live rural and this will be on our list for “when the power goes out “ or for when we are craving B&G and don’t want to drive to town in a snow storm. Or really for just whenever. We LOVE it.
Heather O.
Pretty good! Love the big biscuits, even though they don't really fully reconstitute. Good flavor, not very pretty. There is another brand famous for this brekkie and they do it slightly better.
Kevin S.
Great breakfast! Recommend breaking up the biscuits and giving it an extra 5 minutes or so to avoid crispy biscuits. Either way the taste is top notch!
Jackie F.
Delicious! Restaurant level yumminess!
Jesse M.
So quick and easy. Took them ice fishing for a 3 day trip. Half asleep before coffee kicked in still easy to make. My 10 year old got hunger at one point and had no problem making it on his own. I made the mistake of putting the biscuits on top of everything. Didn't cook well put them. put them down in the gravy wait a little then went back. So yummy and gooooy!!!
John K.
Y order was dropped off but not to my house. Ups doesn’t know where it was left so I. Was in able to try and have for my scouting trip I bought it for I guess I will try next time to make sure my order get to me .
Linda D.
Much better than MH's. Not slimy like theirs. Sauce is flavorable. Really like the biscuits.
Outdoor J.
This was probably the best freeze dried breakfast meal that I have ever had. I think that I could eat it for every meal if I could. SO GOOD!
Jill O.
I have been known to eat this at home on occasional rainy Saturdays--it's that good.
Only real criticisms: (1) having to break up the biscuits before rehydrating is vaguely annoying, (2) t's too much food for one person with an average sized appetite, and (3) I do think the directions ask for too much water--I'd reduce it to nine ounces since I have been left with sausage soup when putting 10 1/2 oz. in the bag. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but like slightly less soupy gravy.
Jennifer C.
I typically try freeze dried food prior to taking on trips. This one here is blow you away amazing. The sausage is great, not chewy, the gravy, the biscuits, and the pepper is so yummy! This is not just for breakfast. I could totally eat this for dinner. What a total comfort meal while out backpacking. I’ll be getting more. Peak really is a cut above the rest. The flavors and textures are nailed!
Jim S.
We were very pleasantly surprised to open package and find 2 actual biscuits, not bite sized chunks of biscuit-ish stuff as in so many other company's version. The meal actually can feed 2 reasonably well, especially if you round it out with some oatmeal or granola. Tasty gravy, and the biscuits (actual biscuits, in case you missed that the first time) do rehydrae well. A real win for backcountry meals!
BENJAMIN C.
I opened it up and thought, "there is no way this is going to work" I read the amount of water it called for and thought "not enough. No way" I was wrong. They pulled of this diner classic better than most diners do.
Mike N.
Hard to believe how great B&G can be out of a pouch. Definitely will be in my pack on future trips
Mary H.
I am the person sending restock boxes to two PCT thru hikers. They tell me that this is one to the best meals that I send.
Andrew C.
Love the biscuits and gravy! Real biscuits-I was pleasantly surprised! I know this is technically a breakfast but it makes a great meal anytime!
Albert N.
It's pretty amazing that this meal rehydrates with only 1 1/3 cups of water. I did break up the biscuits as recommended. I waited 12 minutes and stirred it up. Delicious! But... there was a crunchiness to the biscuit pieces. I zipped it up and waited another 5 minutes, then dug in. The biscuits were a little more rehydrated but not all the crunchiness was gone. I didn't care at that point. I had worked hard at trail maintenance all day and needed my calories. I would definitely buy Biscuits & Sausage Gravy again.
Brenen H.
By FAR the best Biscuits & Gravy meal in freeze-dried food. In fact, this might be the best freeze-dried breakfast meal I've tried. Definitely on par with B&G you get at the local cafe. You get 2 whole biscuits (not tiny pieces) and the buttery flavor comes through. The gravy is spot on, and the sausage rehydrates perfectly. Awesome.
David S.
Tops all competitors. Great taste. Harty meal. Backcountry meal it is worth every cent. Best on market.
Brian D.
Simply the best food that has ever come from a pouch! Outstanding flavor and the biscuits actually taste like grandma made
Dennis M.
Have been waiting for Peak to come out with another breakfast, and it was worth the wait. Really knocked it out of the park with thou one!!!
Josh D.
BEST INGREDIENTS!
I’ve tried just about all of PEAK’S meal options among several other brands out there, I’m always impressed with the flavor and consistency of the food!
PEAK is my go to meal for the outdoors!
Matthew B.
This is our favorite freeze dried meal out available! We've tried a few brands out and love the taste of Peak Refuel's products! Great stuff after a long hike.
Brent H.
I thought that freeze dried meals couldn't get any better, and then Peak Refuel said, "Hold my beer" with this Biscuits & Gravy... I love ALL that PR has to offer, however the Biscuits & Gravy is the pinnacle of freeze dried meals. Two full biscuits?! Creamy sausage gravy?! Are you serious, Clarke?! Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.. Regardless of when you choose to enjoy this meal, you will not be disappointed. Perfect for all occasions. Stocking up on this one before they're gone.
