My husband and I thought it would be good to try one before we took it out on an outing. I thought it would be a risk to get the alfredo, thinking it would be weird, or even sour like some other alfredos I've tried. I was not expecting this. It's so good!! It's comparable to some restaurant alfredos that I've had. I can't wait to try more from this brand. It will make camping a delicious/dishless adventure.

Tastes like I cooked these on my stove from scratch.. I eat these whenever I don't want to cook or I take a pouch to work for lunch, lol.. These are certainly worth the cost !! Ordering more.

This is the best backpacking meal I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried many over the years. I was hiking the PCT in ‘22, and shipped myself a resupply box to Tuolumne Meadows post office full of instant couscous and mashed potatoes, and become sick of eating these lightweight and dense foods over since I began the Sierra section. I desperately shopped for something different at the general store in Tuolumne to help supplement my bland offerings and picked up a couple of Peak Refuel Chicken Alfredo. My God, it was like I was eating gourmet food! The meal rehydrated with only 1 cup of water, and the chicken was delicious and the noodles were soft. I will always be thankful for the boost in attitude those meals provided, and have been a loyal customer ever since.

Having tried other brands. This is by far the best. My biggest concern it the amount of calories in a meal. Peak has more calories and tastes better. I have found this to be true with all their meals. If your a serious hiker or hunter I would highly recommend.

I am out on the trail backpacking and camping 30 days a year. I have tried every major brand of freeze-dried meals. The reasons that I now only purchase Peak 2 Refuel: Real meat and NO fillers. Major source of protein. Peak 2 Refuel package ingredients use significantly less sodium, cholesterol, sugar, and chemicals VS their competitors. This to me is extremely important! There is a good reason why the expire date on Peak 2 Refuel is about 2 or 3 years VS their competition that I have seen expire dates typically 15 to 25 years. Because their competitors’ products are loaded in chemicals!

This is the third peak refuel meal that I have tried. I assumed going into eating the chicken alfredo that it would be bland and difficult to get that homemade taste. Well, I was wrong. The chicken alfredo was quite tasty and if somebody served this to me blindly, I would not have guessed that it came from a freeze dried pouch. After eating this, I started reading reviews on peak refuels various menu options. What seemed to be fairly consistent in these reviews is that peak refuel has nailed their italian food options. I can’t wait to try the next one.

Chicken Alfredo is definitely in the top 3 best meals by Peak Refuel. I've had homemade Chicken Alfredo and the first time I had Peak Refuels I was genuinely blown away. It was just as good if not better. Whenever anyone asks me what meal I always recommend this is the first one.

Went tent camping in Yosemite and brought this along as a backup meal incase it rained and we didn’t want to get wet cooking(It was really cold).
I mainly purchased this because it was soy free. A few years back I realized that soy was what was making me feel so awful and that most of my emergency meals in our go bags and family go bags had soy. We’ve been evacuated from our home 5 times since Covid due to two fires and following mudslides. I wanted something easier than the make shift meals I put together for my go bag. Tried this meal since I love Alfredo and can’t find a yummy sauce in the store that is soy free. Didn’t taste like freeze dried at all. Loved the flavor and the sauciness. It actually had too much chicken to pasta ratio but that is just me. I loved it and bought 6 more for emergencies. Thank you for making this soy free with no natural flavors(sometimes natural flavors have soy)!!

In my opinion, the Chicken Alfredo is the best Peak Refuel has to offer. I have enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and the grilled flavor of the chicken on my hikes along the AT through the Shenandoah Mountains. My husband and I are planning an AT hike. We were appalled at the amount of sodium in some of the freeze dried or dehydrated meals we considered. Then we found you guys! The protein is higher and the sodium almost half of many other brands! We love the fact there isnt a lot of "junk" in your meals too. We loved the alfredo chicken meal we tried and bought a bunch of your meals for our trip. I am very picky about what my dog eats, but I felt comfortable enough with your meals to share a bit with her, and even let her lick out the bag!

What a find with Peak Refuel. I have tried different brands of foods (mountain house, MRE's), when I found Peak Refuel on FaceBook, I thought why not try a few of your meals. I was shocked at how tasty and good they were. I had the Chicken Alfredo Pasta, OMG it was amazing. Freeze Dried Food is not supposed to be this good, the taste and the ease of making my meal was simple. I recommend that anyone looking for a great product for a good price try Peak Refuel. It fits easily into your pack, and you have many meals to choose from. I've ordered the BISCUITS & SAUSAGE GRAVY and the BUTTERNUT DAL BHAT to try. My wife loves the healthy meals that you have put together for those that hike and want to eat something that you can prepare on the go. You have my wife and me as loyal customers. I had my first Peak Refuel experience with this meal during a week of turkey hunting. The flavor was amazing. I daresay it may be better than homemade! I think I added too much water to it, but even still, the broth at the end was delicious. Given my calorie burn of 1,500 that day, the protein and calories were much needed. The meal actually fueled me up to do an evening hunt. This was my first Peak Refuel purchase, but it won't be my last. Plus, I'm glad to support a company based in my home state.

My wife, son and I split a couple packages of the Peak Refuel Chicken Alfredo Pasta after our first mountain bike ride on a trip to the Pacific Northwest from our home in Moab. We were starving and too tired to make "real food" so we opted for this meal. It was our first experience with Peak Refuel meals but we're longtime backpackers with nearly three decades of experience choking down dehydrated meals. The Peak Refuel did not need to be choked down and it was just as good as "real food" because, well...it is. The flavor was amazing and we didn't have the typical experience of random crunchy bits that failed to rehydrate properly. Two bags fed the three of us and mostly filled our bellies. A salad or some other type of side dish would have topped us off. That was three years ago and since then we've purchased Peak Refuel meals almost exclusively and have yet to find one that we haven't liked. We're also stoked that they're a local Utah company. All things considered, I highly recommend Peak Refuel.

Hard to believe it’s actually freeze dried food. The taste is incredible, even compared to home cooked. My 9 yr old son told me it tastes better than (insert chain Italian restaurant here). To date this is the best backpacking/hunting/hiking meal company I have found. The flavors blow MH out of the water. I’m not one to focus hard on nutritional value, even though Peak Refuel is very nutritional. I just want something that tastes good, fills me up, and gets me back to the task at hand. Peak Refuel does exactly that. I could easily buy the cheaper “name brand” meals but they always compromise on taste and texture, making it unpleasant. Not Peak Refuel...they provide it all. My go-to from here on out. Don’t hesitate to throw these in your pack.

Can actually taste the chicken! And not ‘boiled chicken’ flavour, almost had a slightly BBQ or blackened chicken flavour to it. Not over salted like many dehydrated meals, as close to real food as you will get!

Pretty sure I got the water ratio correct but it ended up a bit liquidy even after sitting in closed package for a few extra minutes. This one was our favorite Peak Fuel food and didn't have too much dairy either (I'm allergic but had no respiratory problems after eating like most dairy does for me) . My daughter enjoyed it as well and the chicken has great flavor.

I've had my share of freeze-dried meals...well, more than my share. On the trail, in the mountains or on some remote beach, meal time has become more of a dreaded chore. Small foam bits that are said to be meat and bits of veggies and beans that don't reconstitute.
When I found Peak Refuel, I couldn't believe the difference. A little research shows that they are the only company who freeze-dries all of their meal together, as opposed to adding prior individual freeze-dried ingredients separately.
Once the boiling water has been added and the food has reconstituted, the Peak Refuel meals rival my mom's cooking, and that's no joke. Moist bits of chicken the size of my thumb are full of taste and the whole meal seems like it should be brought out on fine china as opposed to eaten out of a bag.
Not to mention there's substantially less sodium than in other freeze-dried meals!
I'll never bring any brand other than Peak Refuel into the backcountry again. I may even eat them at home on the couch!

I just tried this Chicken Alfredo at the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Denver and I would have to say that it was one of the best tasting meals that I have ever had. You could even see the grill marks on the chicken, can't wait to try one of these out on the trail after a long day of hiking.

The fam and I just tried the Chicken Alfredo and it was gone before it got back around to me. It tasted like it was home made. The real meat makes a huge difference in flavor and texture. The kids loved it which is a big deal when your miles away from the truck and you only have packaged meals to eat.
We will be adding these to both the camping meal list and the food storage. It really is that good.
