We decided to give Peak Refuel a try. We've been looking for a Food for Camping. Keep in the Truck, and for emergencies. I was a little reluctant to try it, Some FD foods have a recipe that may include rice and vegetables, Only to open it and find more rice than anything and tid bits of vegetables.. I was afraid of an over powering taste of sodium... Didn't happen. We've only tried this one product so far. But this is just as good as homemade... This stuff is good enough to make you run and shout... Awesome flavor nothing over powering, Big Chunks of Chicken and Green Beans and other ingredients.... I didn't want to share.. Well looks like we found our food for emergencies and camping WTG Peak Refuel

Good tasting meal. I added some additional water so you have to play with amounts and how long it cooks. Rice was a little crunchy but overall good tasting meal

I am out on the trail backpacking and camping 30 days a year. I have tried every major brand of freeze-dried meals. The reasons that I now only purchase Peak 2 Refuel: Real meat and NO fillers. Major source of protein. Peak 2 Refuel package ingredients use significantly less sodium, cholesterol, sugar, and chemicals VS their competitors. This to me is extremely important! There is a good reason why the expire date on Peak 2 Refuel is about 2 or 3 years VS their competition that I have seen expire dates typically 15 to 25 years. Because their competitors’ products are loaded in chemicals!

This meal, like every meal I’ve tried so far from Peak Refuel, had been a home run. The ultimate litmus test for me is whether my wife can eat it. She is incredibly picky. She absolutely loved this and agreed to take it on our upcoming thru hike. So far, this company has proven to have some of the best meals out there for our taste. What most impressed me is the texture of the meat and how each ingredient is identifiable in texture, appearance, and taste. Just fantastic!

Split it with a sidekick- you won’t find a more cost effective meal- and no tipping necessary.

Had 2 packages of this one for our last road trip, ate one at a friend's house - fed 3 of us with a bit left over for the 2 of us for lunch the next day. We had the other one in the Oregon dunes Eel Creek Campground, was enjoyable both times even though I don't care for green beans. My teen daughter also enjoyed it and she is mostly vegetarian.

Was my first test, or trial of any of the PeakFuel packets. I've had them on hand but haven't tried them yet. I'll say it was delicious! A little sweet for my tasting, as evident in the carbs (loaded). But still, very good as I ate the entire pack, lol. Will be trying another flavor soon for sure so I can stock up on what I like. From my first test, will probably be a lot!

I have been an avid outdoorsman for 30 years. I have tried many types of dehydrated and freeze dried meals. I took a chance on Peak Refuel on a 6 day winter climbing trip. The Peak Refuel Chicken Teriyaki is the best tasting freeze dried meal that I have ever stuffed in my face! All of the Peak Refuel meals have been several steps ahead of the competition. On many winter trips I have had to choose between eating a warm crunchy meal or a cold meal of the correct consistency. I don’t know if it is because the meals require less water, or because of some special process, but every Peak Refuel meal I have tried has been fully reconstituted in the amount of time specified on the bags and they were still warm. Having warm delicious food is important for morale, especially when outside temps get below zero. To the team that makes the food, job well done!

This is a great meal. The flavor is spot on. The veggies and meat are as real as they get. The rice almost seems chopped up, or the rice grains are small anyways. That doesn’t bother me at all, it still tastes great. A must have in your backpack!
