This does not require water, but they are freeze dried cookies, so have water on hand. You can taste the Peanut Butter Cookie, which all the bites have, but not all the bites have chocolate chips. Think of this more like Peanut Butter Kibbles and Bits These are very dry and grainy, not real sweet and not real tastey, very meh. If I was hard up for sweets on the trail I might revert to these. However, the dry out of the bag Strawberry Granola does make a very nice dry snack at slightly less calories, 530 calories. These are nothing to write home about. It definitely would take 2 people to choke down a bag of these; but the Cookie Bites really do not have enough calories for two people. It was easy to digest with no stomach upset. Fair-good value for price vs. Calories for survival or backpacking! Below average Freeze Dry meal by comparison to others. The other half said turn it into bad cereal and add milk.

I have yet to try something that I didn’t like from this company. The peanut butter chocolate chip cookie bites are soooo good. I love that I can eat just a few to satisfy that sweet tooth and then zip the bag up for the next time. A+ in my book.
